Our Leadership
Dean Allison - Director Southern
Dean Allison is a proud Central Queensland local with a career built on technical excellence, leadership, and adaptability across the mining and civil construction sectors. Starting as a Diesel Fitter in Biloela, Dean progressed through roles in owner-operator mining, contracting across the Bowen Basin, and international operations in East Asia, where he led multicultural teams and drove significant performance improvements.
He later transitioned into civil construction, managing national plant and logistics operations and contributing to major infrastructure projects. Dean’s diverse experience—from equipment overhauls to project management—equips him with the insight and capability to deliver tailored, high-performance solutions as Director of Ferrum Edge Services.
Shane Hamilton - Director Northern
A seasoned Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in the mining and construction industries, specializing in the delivery of Greenfield and Brownfield construction projects as well as major maintenance shutdowns. Holds formal qualifications in Project Management and Business Administration, bringing together technical expertise and strategic leadership.
Demonstrates extensive capability across Structural, Mechanical, Piping (SMP), and Civil disciplines, with a strong track record managing critical infrastructure, including large-scale mining equipment and processing plants. Proficient in overseeing all phases of project execution, including HSEQ compliance, cost and schedule control, resource planning, procurement, and subcontractor management.
Recognised for building strong, collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. A proactive safety leader, committed to developing and implementing initiatives that strengthen safety culture and promote peer-to-peer accountability.
Experienced in project estimation, gating processes, contract negotiation, and commercial closeout, with a focus on optimizing work management systems and aligning project delivery with broader business and operational objectives.
